SLU on Google Apps for Education

St Lawrence University has been approved by Google to implement Google Apps for Education for the students, faculty and staff. As part of this, Google services such as Emails, Calendar, Sites, Classroom and all associated Google Apps programs will be available to members of our educational community. These services are useful and timely because they facilitate communication and teaching/learning between faculty and students as well as improve administrative processes.

The first phase of the services has already been implemented as all administrators, staff and students have access to Email service hosted by Google. Other services will continue to be deployed in the months ahead. Google offers a more reliable, user-friendly and spacious platform for members of our community to use services without the limitations of storage space. Eventually, SLU will integrate educational apps like Google Classroom, and Calendar into the online experience to give students a more conducive online experience during their study.
